Visit the Cornwall Wildlife Trust website: The Trust looks after many areas in Cornwall, including St George's Island (aka Looe Island), which can be visited by boat from Looe. 
  In 2000, Miss Babs Atkins leased the Island to the Trust to be managed as a nature reserve. The story of how the sisters came to own it is told in two books: We Bought an Island and Tales from our Cornish Island, both by Evelyn E. Atkins. .
