What time can I arrive?

You can arrive any time from 3pm. If you are going to be later than 6pm, we do ask that you give us an indication of your arrival time the day before your arrival so that one of us can be here to greet you.

What time do I have to leave?
The latest time of departure is 10am. Please respect this time - it allows us to prepare the cottage to the highest standards for the next guests.

Is your cottage non-smoking?
Yes - we have a strict non-smoking policy inside Well Cottage.

Can I bring children?
Sorry but we don't accept children under 14 - for the simple reason that we want to make Well Cottage a 'grown-up' holiday retreat.

Can I bring my pet?
No, we don't accept animals at Well Cottage.

What local facilities are there?
Although not isolated, we are in a very quiet rural area between the villages of Herodsfoot and Duloe. Herodsfoot is a peaceful hamlet surrounded by fabulous woodland walks. Duloe is slightly larger, with a small village shop and a pub (The Plough) which serves food. Nearest large supermarket - 5 miles. Looe and Polperro - 6-7 miles - both have a good selection of restaurants.

Is there on-site storage at Well Cottage?
Yes - but please contact us first - but we have plenty of room for bikes, boats, trailers etc. Items are stored at your own risk.

How about road access?
Road access to Well Cottage is very reasonable - the last section of the lane is only one car wide but the visibility is good and there are plenty of passing spaces.

What activities can I take part in locally?
There are too many to mention - from golf, fishing, sailing, surfing, horse-riding, kayaking - we keep lots of information at Well Cottage, and we're on hand to advise. We can send you information of specific activities when you book - there's space on the booking form to indicate your interests. We can't list all of them here - there are just too many!
