Places to go, things to see
Here's a list of some of our favourite things to do in South East Cornwall, whatever the season. More information...

Pasties and piskies, festivals and fairs
Cornwall’s not just (or even!) about pasties and piskies! We have a thriving cultural life which is rooted in a strong sense of place. Cornwall has long been (and still is) a mecca for visual artists, and has become a seed-bed for ground-breaking theatre and new takes on traditional music and dance.
More information - art, theatre and music...

Traditional (and not-so-traditional)
festivals are a feature of Cornish community life. Locally, we have the Daphne du Maurier Literary festival and Looe Festival by the Sea; further afield, traditional celebrations such as ‘Obby ‘Oss and Mazey Day. More information - festivals and fairs...

Encounter CornwallEncounter Cornwall in nearby Lerryn provide stunning canoeing trips suitable for everyone through the wooded creeks and inlets of the beautiful river Fowey. Walking and cycling trips are also arranged. Visit at www.encountercornwall.com for more information and to book.

Cornwall has many fabulous surf beaches Cotehele House (National Trust) in a wonderful setting overlooking the River Tamar Cotehele House (National Trust) in a wonderful setting overlooking the River Tamar Polperro is a picture-postcard Cornish fishing village, complete with its fair share of smugglers' tales!
The Eden Project. A must-see - just 30 minutes away. The SW Coast Path around Cornwall - magnificent Looe is home to Cornwall's second largest fishing fleet and has arguably the finest 'dayboat' fish in the country. When Heston Blumenthal of The Fat Duck (3 Michelin stars) wanted perfect fish for his TV programme, he came to Looe. Visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan during your relaxing stay at Well Cottage Cornwall
We love South East Cornwall, and we pride ourselves on our knowledge of things to do and see in our ‘hidden corner’ of Cornwall. From surfing lessons to sailing, classic car hire to mountain bike hire, guided walks to helicopter trips – we can help you. Just ask.
