South East Cornwall,
whatever the season.

Pasties and piskies,
festivals and fairs
Cornwall’s not just (or even!) about pasties and
piskies! We have a thriving cultural life which is
rooted in a strong sense of place. Cornwall has long
been (and still is) a mecca for visual artists, and
has become a seed-bed for ground-breaking theatre and new
takes on traditional music and dance.

Traditional (and not-so-traditional)
festivals are a
feature of Cornish community life. Locally, we have
the Daphne du Maurier Literary festival
and Looe Festival by the Sea; further afield,
traditional celebrations such as ‘Obby ‘Oss
and Mazey Day.
